Dialog OnDisc for MS-DOS
Installation Instructions
The Dialog OnDisc for MS-DOS download file replaces the existing ondisc.exe
in your ondisc directory.
Once you begin the download, use the SAVE AS function within
your web browser to save the file to the ondisc directory.
Installing Dialog OnDisc for MS-DOS
- At the C:> prompt, type the letter of the CD-ROM drive
followed by a colon (D:) and pressEnter.
· If you want to install the Dialog OnDisc software in the default
directory, DLINK: type INSTALL and press Enter.
· If you want to install Dialog OnDisc software in a directory
other than DLINK: Type INSTALL followed by the path for the
directory. EXAMPLE: INSTALL C:/ONDISC
- You will be prompted to specify the drive that Dialog OnDisc will
use to store temporary files. The drive must be a hard drive or RAM
drive with at least 1MB of free space.
- Specify the TEMP drive by typing its letter. You will be prompted
to specify the CD-ROM drives to be used for Dialog OnDisc; all available
drives are listed.
· To use all available CD-ROM drives, press Enter.
· To use only certain CD-ROM drives, type the letters of those
drives (EXAMPLE: DEFH)
- The Dialog OnDisc software is copied to your hard disk. If the DialogLINK
software is not already installed on your hard disk, you will be prompted
to install it.
· If DialogLINK is already installed, your computer will automatically
reboot, go to step 7.
· If your Dialog OnDisc product does not contain DialogLINK,
press any key to reboot the computer and go to Step 7.
- To install DialogLINK at the prompt, type O (alpha O). The
DialogLINK software is copied to your hard disk and the DialogLINK
Configuration Manager screen is displayed.
- Select the DialogLINK Configuration options that describe your computer
setup. When you have finished selecting the DialogLINK configuration
options, your computer will automatically reboot.
- To start the Dialog OnDisc program: At the C:> prompt,
type ONDISC and press Enter.
